Our presenter, Dr. Meghan Burke is an associate professor in the department of special education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously, she worked at a Parent Training and Information Center. She also worked as a public school teacher. Dr. Burke's research includes developing and testing advocacy training interventions to facilitate access to services for individuals with disabilities. Dr. Burke has a brother with Down syndrome; she also has a young child with a disability.
