Apps for Independence:  The iPad as Assistive Technology -
Presented by Sue Castles, Training Coordinator for the Illinois Assistive Technology Program - this FREE workshop will provide information on what you need to get started with an iPad, how to set it up and how to work with apps.  We will talk about the accessibility settings built into the iPad, working with iTunes, how to manage apps and some tips and tricks for using the iPad.  Several apps will be demonstrated and participants are encouraged to share their favorite apps.  Funding options for iPads will be discussed along with what the Illinois Assistive Technology Program can do to help families.
